A lot of eco activists worldwide have tagged this month Plastic Free July. So, I’d first start off by saying happy plastic free July to you. *cue the fireworks*

SignTech Tip for the Summer

In these hot summer months, hardly anyone would argue that air conditioners are one of the best things to happen upon mankind. And, if you are like me, and are currently at a place that is experiencing an extremely sweltering summer, you’d agree it’s quite hard to not switch on the air conditioner. But the downside of that is it increases your electricity bills, and it’s so not ecofriendly.

Iconic sea arch from Game of Thrones collapses

 A couple of months ago, the world famous sea arch in Malta collapsed during a storm. Moments after it happened, Prime Minister, Joseph Muscat described the event as “heartbreaking” in a tweet.

The 50m Azure Window, located near Dwejra Bay in Gozo, was one of the Maltese Islands' most distinctive sites. It attracted thousands of tourists every year.

Travelling Sustainably

Normally, when you think of travel, you are hard pressed to think or associate it with “sustainability” or “green”. Instead, you’d probably think big flying machine in the sky spraying CO2 and other harmful greenhouse gases into the ozone layer and on everything it comes across. Granted, planes do leave behind a significant carbon footprint. It presently accounts for four to nine per cent of the total climate change impact of human activity. However, there are things that can be done to travel just a bit more sustainably. Ideally, it would be best for no one to travel with planes AT ALL.

Billions of trees are cut down every year to satisfy man’s inordinate and excessive demand for paper. And a lot of this paper ends up idly in massive heaps and piles all around our offices and homes.
